1. Determination of type and specification of CNC machining center

When determining the specification of the machining center, the size of the workbench and the coordinate stroke should be considered according to the size of the mold template. First, according to the size of the template, preliminarily determine the size of the workbench of the machining center, then consider the clamping method of the mold to leave the space required for installing the fixture, and then calculate the x-axis and y-axis travel of the machining center to meet the actual processing range of the mold. For large molds, the * large bearing weight of the workbench should also be considered. The distance between the spindle end face and the worktable should be considered for the vertical machining center. The horizontal machining center should consider the distance from the spindle end face to the center of the workbench.

 

Given the high hardness of the die material and the great benefit of the rough machining of the die, when considering the spindle power and torque, the machine tool with large spindle power and torque must be selected for the same size to improve the cutting efficiency.

 

Powerful enterprises can consider selecting high-speed machining centers with spindle speeds of more than 6000r/min to improve the adaptability of the machining center to the hardness of mold materials, expand the processing range of the machining center, and further improve the processing efficiency and quality.

 

The common material of die electrodes is pure steel or graphite. If the graphite electrode is to be processed, the high-speed machining center with good dust-proof performance is preferred.

 

2. Selection of CNC machining center accuracy

 

Molds can be roughly divided into hardware molds and plastic molds according to product materials. Generally speaking, the machining accuracy of hardware mold parts is higher than that of plastic mold parts.

 

The accuracy grade of the machining center is considered according to the matching accuracy of the die cavity and the key parts of the moving die core. Domestic machining centers are divided into ordinary and precision types. Due to the rapid development of numerical control technology, ordinary machining centers can process 6-7 precision parts. The precision machining center can process 5-6 precision parts.
